As they've said, what are your interests? The K5 is more rugged and has pro level features. I just learned that the AF problems with lenses such as the DA*55mm have been fixed on more recent models and I would guess that includes the K30. I find that very encouraging for future Pentax models but not the K5 itself. I've used a K5 for about 2 years and it has been generally an excellent camera with very few problems for me but I'm sure the K30 would be fine also.
