Another way to think about it is that a 75mm f1.8 on m43 is the same as a 75mm f1.8 on a full frame camera, except that using the m43 sensor is like keeping only 26% of the pixels -- those in the center of the full frame sensor -- and throwing the other 74% of the pixels away. In other words, it has the same DOF, and the same light gathering, etc., and then you simply discard what amounts to an extremely large border.

This is, of course, the correctway to think about it
