XF1 goes on a hike (8 img)

Still trying to optimize the settings for my little XF1 for an upcoming vacation trip, so I took it along with my LX7 for side by side comparisons.  Prior comparisons favored settings as proposed by Dave and Griddi, so those are what I used.  I have posted below full size images for anyone who wants to see for themselves.

Taken in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon on the Angel's Rest trail.  All done JPG, no PP.  I'm sure I could pull more detail but I wanted to see what each camera could do.

Honestly, at daytime light levels there isn't that much difference between the XF1 and LX7.  Yes, they are different, but all look pretty good for a pocket camera.  Its a subjective tie.  We'll see later this week when I try the same thing with twilight and night time shots.

For me, the XF1 is preferred simply because of size.  But my LX7 has a faster lens, I have a EVF for it, and it takes filters.  So it is size and convenience vs. a more intensive photo shooting experience.

Some thistle buds - actually much better bokeh than my LX7
