Bundled OEM Software Finepix
What software comes these days with models that do RAW? What is the version number; and does it work on a Mac?
Some models of Fujifilm cameras, for example, the XF1, have an internal software (that is, firmware) RAW converter that can make many different JPEG files (each with different file name) from a single Fujifilm .RAF (RAW) file that is stored on a memory card in the camera.
Fujifilm also bundles "RAW FILE CONVERTER EX powered by SILKYPIX" (capitalization as used by Silkypix) on a CD with some camera models; the version will depend on the camera's manufacturing date, and you may want an earlier version depending on the status of the operating system on your Macintosh; and the latest (or an earlier) version may be downloaded from a Fujifilm site. The latest version as of this writing is the 2013 July 30 revision, version 126.96.36.199 for Macintosh OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
Iridient Developer makes a Macintosh RAW developer that supports Fujifilm file formats, but it costs $75. And the "big boys," Light Room and Capture One, also have expensive solutions for converting Fujifilm RAW files.
