Mac Upgrade Suggestion
I have a 13" (Mid 2010) Macbook Pro 7.1 with 2.4 Intel Duo Core, 8gb ram, 500gb Momentus XT Hybrid drive.
I use Aperture 3 to process/organize all of my photos. I just upgraded from a Canon 5Dc to a 6D and now my computer is pretty sluggish when using Aperture (and the screen size is small). I no longer need a laptop (just graduated school), so now I am looking to upgrade both computer (and screen size).
Would a current iMac (21.5 or 27 inch) be a noticeable upgrade or even a previous model (in terms of performance, not screen size). Or would an older MacPro be a better option (and if so, how old of a model should I be considering). I'm skeptical on an iMac b/c I had one and 4 years later the screen died. I'd like to spend around 1K to 1500 and don't mind buying used.
Or should I consider a MacMini?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
