On the apparent upcoming high end OMD that will "dub" as the 4/3rds hybrid

$1,500. At least! Why?

It's a relatively small niche market.

Relatively small sales numbers means high cost per unit. Olympus needs to be profitable. Simple.

I have held on to my SHG lenses, though dipping my toes into another system. My eyes have opened somewhat. Olympus will have to better the alternative, not just equal it. I have discovered my SHG lenses in comparison, while excellent optically, seriously lag behind functionally (focus, noisy operation). Will the old motor designs be better on the new body than their performance on 4/3?

In my heart I hope so. Here's hoping!

So looks like this camera will be at least $1,500 USD. Sounds reasonable if positioned to the high end. This is the camera that will apparently use all 4/3rd lenses very well, with some adapter or the camera body will just support some sort of conversion/whatever.
