Good point. But the problem with the banding of the 20 is that its particular characteristics might vary strongly on a shot-to-shot basis in a seemingly random way and need not even manifest itself in some reasonably regular way across the entire frame. If it always manifested itself in a repeatable way, it would be a piece of cake to remove it via software.

I am very interested in methods to correct banding with software.

I am sure that some of you have their own methods to reduce banding. Even if it is not always helpful, it may save a few images. Please share this knowledge.
