You must be living in some parallel universe from me. Where I live it we currently have a golden age of digital cameras. Sensors are becoming more and more impressive -- ISO 6400 and beyond is achievable!, and prices have come down so much that it is easy to find a fantastic camera for cheaper than I ever expected.

Well that's reassuring. Within a quarter of a mile of me all I have is my daughter thoroughly enjoying her DSLR, my other daughter and I using FZ50's, one friend on a 6MP DSLR, and a Pro. All others have shrunk to phone use. I accept your call that I must be in another universe, but in it I am for sure.

The FZ50: DSLR handling of a bright, non-extending Leica 35-420mm F2.8-3.7 lens. I live in hope that Mr Ichiro Kitao, Mr Michiharu Uematsu and Mr Yoshiyuki Inoue have triggered the update to the FZ50. Please update the FZ50. It is unique and users of it cannot update without compromise of one or more of its combination of features.
