How often do you recharge your smartphone? I would not want my 5d to behave like my smartphone and need a charge daily. I can take more than 1000 pictures with one battery but if a large LCD with many pixels and fast processor would mean that 1000 pics turn into 100, I don't want that feature. I find Canon LCD's to be rather good on colour rendition and also as a still photographer I use the zoom to check for focus. Not even a 7 inch lcd would be enough to see by one glance if I nailed focus. I would still have to zoom....
