Re: Advice on what wide angle canon lens for trip to Glacier Park

In addition to the risk of snow closing the road at any time, there is a multi-year construction project to upgrade the road's condition. Because of this, sections of the road will close for work at 9 PM and open at 6 AM. And beginning Sep 23, sections will be closed completely, making it impossible to travel from one side of the park to the other on the Going to the Sun Rd. The NPS says that Logan pass will remain accessible from one side or the other after the 23rd until the road closes for the year in the second half of October.

Check at the first ranger station you come to for the road closure locations and times. They should also have a weather forecast posted so you can judge your options regarding snow.
