I agree that most modern day interchangeable lens cameras are excellent and are all very capable. If I was just looking at web sized pics, I probably wouldn't notice minor differences in image quality. I think for anyone that actually has to work on the images or do any editing, the image quality does make a difference and is noticeable. When you're editing a photo, you may be focusing on the minor details and trying to perfect everything. You might be pushing the exposures to the limits of your dynamic range. You might be cropping to a tiny size which can be limited by the resolution and sharpness. People editing photos do care and do notice the little things.
