Well...we started off nice. Yesterday, near Bordeaux, a so called MCS developped. In NL we call them cadavers. By the time they are here, these spectacular system tend to be washed out. Also, they prevent it form getting hot hear and spoilt an otherwise good stormchasing day (especially the development of supercelstorms). In short: this one survived in very good shape!

Unfortunately, the air was very humid and misty inspite of 23 C. So I could see this shelfcloud only when it was close enough. Now there has been a estofex (estofex.org) warnbing for my area. Level 3. They specifically mention F2 or heavier tornadoes. TOrnadoe are not uncommon here, but EF3 or more is very rare. So who knows....Evertyhgin needs to fall into place but I hope I can post some nice pics later on today or tomorrow...

Lightning and heavy rain prevented me to shoot more pics soon after this pic...

Those are spectacular images of an MCS !  ... especially the second one.

I see that the current (1400 UTC) EST0FEX

indicates that you are still in a warning area.

I assume that you captured the leading edge of the squall line to the SE of the LOW now approaching Hamburg.

yellow crosses in red indicate lightning strikes.  Scandinavia is getting hammered.

I enjoyed your cloud imagery at your gallery:

I hope that this storm causes no damage / casualties.
