Neither -------> IF you're gonna do it

Ruled out the Nikon as the UK price is laughable for what`s on offer - I had the Tokina and sent it back, like others here the copy I had was nothing like as good as Photozones and only was sharp at the edges at F5.6 (negating the F2.8 business) it would seem that the holy grail of a good copy of this lens is severe pot luck, otherwise it beat the sigma 10-20 F4-5.6 for everything bar range, build and handling (the Sig F3-5.6  is "ok-ish" optically, the F3.5 version at best is mediocre)  .......

My view is that if you`re going to do the wide thing , do it properly and get the Sigma 8-16 which matches or beats "Normal" copies of the tokina edge to edge and beats all copies of the Sig 10-20 and gives real wide rather than the half hearted 18mm FOV of the Tokina.
