Nice one -- with the typical DM processing -- but not totally noir .

Perhaps my 2.5 year old Mercury-vapor backlight is fading a bit on my HP ZR24w monitor. Have been choosing somewhat brighter and more colorful processings over the last few months time.

Actually, this particular cluster of ferns is one that I know well. Every year around this time, and at the right time nearing dusk (when the background is not too bright, with the sun well over the hill formed by the wooded ravine, an predictable shot presents itself. It is a rather hard shot to get in the low light, hand-held, and with the LX3's AF nearing it's lower threshold of around 5.0 (camera-settings derived "EV"). Here is one of one of this fern's ancestors from 2008:
