Without hesitation, I strongly recommend....

The older, superb Penny 14-45 OIS.  This original kit lens (with metal mount) can be absolutely superb...giving the expensive Panny 12-35 a run for its money.

It's a well constructed lens with sharp optics, giving you an equivalent reach of 28-90.  I've been so impressed with this inexpensive older model (average price around $279 +/- USD), that I wound up purchasing another one.  This is perhaps one of the best kept secrets among kit lenses.  You won't be disappointed.  I keep one on my E-M5 and the other on the GX1.
