Of course most of us seasoned folks shot M growing up since that's all there was, but with the advancements in photographic technology I wonder if folks are shooting in M far less. I'm currently reading 'Understanding Exposure', and while I used M a good bit I'm going start shooting more in M to take back control of my camera and shooting.

So I was just wondering how many folks shoot M almost exclusively?

Mostly in M, a lot in A, sometimes in S, and practically never in P.

Some folks advocate using P when outside and wanting Nikon fill flash to work well. They call this "Professional" mode. I find I prefer to go to A or S mode and dial up or down my FEC to my taste.

For me it is mostly A, ocassionally M, rarely S, never P

Same here, I have been trying out a new (to me) combo recently for indoor shots at shows. Namely M with auto ISO and flash. Seems to work great.
