Re: Here's the link to the marketing page

Thanks for that.

Here's the bit that always gets me:

"Integrating the high speed digital signal output technology, the DMC-FZ70(FZ72) shoot 9 fps in 16.1-megapixel full resolution* with mechanical shutter and 5 fps with continuous AF. It also contributes to the Light Speed AF. Together with the quick start-up time, the DMC-FZ70(FZ72) never misses the most fleeting shooting opportunities."

The modern digital superzoom is a fantastically capable and versatile tool. But if it's busy saving its battery when the moment happens, I've found that Mr Frustration has the last word. An MFT is the only correct answer Panasonic has at present, yet they insist on promoting the motor lensed camera as fast.

The FZ50: DSLR handling of a bright, non-extending Leica 35-420mm F2.8-3.7 lens. I live in hope that Mr Ichiro Kitao, Mr Michiharu Uematsu and Mr Yoshiyuki Inoue have triggered the update to the FZ50. Please update the FZ50. It is unique and users of it cannot update without compromise of one or more of its combination of features.
