Yes, the noise that is generated in long exposures is temperature-related. However, you need dark frame subtraction even at lower temperatures. Either do it in camera using "Long Exposure Noise Reduction" or take a dark frame yourself and do it in Photoshop or GIMP or dcRAW. (Or maybe Ray Therapee?)
