I own this lens and it is really nice, but it has also helped me appreciate the size, weight and quality of the 50-200mm lens. I just returned from a trip--I take both lenses with me--the 50-200mm for hand held and the 90-250mm for the tripod.

I noticed the weight different today. I think the bigma will still be the walk around lens. Its only slightly heavier than the 50-200 + EC20. I can pick up the E-5 + Grip + Bigma with one hand. Err not this combo.
