I try it for myself. I downloaded the OMD and EOS-M raws from IR and processed them myself in CS6 and I found I was able to get better detail with less noise from the EOS-M particularly in the Proportional Scale, Hellas label, and fabric samples.

I couldn't find the link to the EOS-M raws on IR, do you have the link to them? I'd be interested to do the same myself.

IR only puts up the raws temporarily in their "first shots" segment when they receive a camera for testing. When the partial or full reviews come out later, they remove the raws. I've learned to check for the "first shots" segment when I see a new camera I may be interested in is announced on their site.

I didn't know that, shame, I'm not disputing what you've seen, it would just be nice to see how they compare on identical shots.

I found it to be an eye-opener for me, if you'll excuse the term.

As a previous owner of the OMD and now owning the EOS-M I'm not sweating it, both are great AFAIC but the "M" works great with my 35mm F2 and 50mm F1.4 (amongst others) so it's all good for me. I've been surprised how much I like this camera, just goes to show that you shouldn't believe everything you read.
