This is a fine example of a type of exercise that tries to find a complete scene within a scene - an exercise for one's compositional 'eye' (often advised to practice within a 50 foot circle about where one is sitting/standing, but it translates well to any scope of view). I used to carry 2 cameras for landscapes, having one on the tripod for the WA while working the other with a tele-zoom - often the tele-photo lens produced the more stunning snippets of the moment.

Yes, I like it when I have time to stay in one spot and look around more. Often, I have people with me who are as interested in photography as I am in shopping for shoes.
