Nice colours - my suggestion would be to set the Noise reduction to LOW and the sharpness to soft, you`ll get mor photographic images when you have to crop like in the second sample.. if you want to sharpen afterwards, do it in an external program like Photoshop ......... this I find worked best for the HS20 and also the HS30 I have now (which is the same as the HS35 apart from a few firmware tweaks)
