Re: What Would You Have Done?

Someone is getting reprimanded... If the manager's reaction was otherwise, I think I would've reached out to the media. And they'd also get negative reviews on every major travel website, and on Better Business Bureau. Back in 2003 a dumb security guard at FIT in New York told me I could not take pictures of the FIT building and my girlfriend with my DSLR. Sure, I'll just take it from across the street - tell me again I can't take pictures of your building because I can't hear your ignorance from across the street Ignorant fools. There's a photographer's bill of rights that was drafted by a lawyer if I'm not mistaken, and it is readily available for download/printing.

Update: found the link to that bill of rights: http://www.krages.com/ThePhotographersRight.pdf

Also, I cities have their own laws regarding photography, as in NYC: http://www.nyc.gov/html/film/html/permits/permit_required_fee.shtml , so if you can find an official page like this, print it out and hand it to the ignoramus that tells you cannot take pictures in public.
