I have actually asked this question but people wanted more info on my gear and what i shoot.
Well I have a Nikon D7000 and the longest and heaviest lens i have is the 70-300. I just love shooting portrait and wildlife and a little bit of macro and landscape(mostly star trails or other long exposures.)
So I am Looking for my first tripod and chose this one-
vanguard alta pro 263at
and head is vanguard gh-200
Q1) So What do you say is this a good tripod and if you have owned this before did you have any problem and what do you say about the head did i choose the right one or what would you recommend .
Q2) Any better head than a pistol grip one and for the above offer do i need to buy a plate to attach my Nikon d7000 to the head.
Q2) Any better tripods at this range that I might have missed please keep the price range under 200$ including head (i know the price range is a little low but thats all i can offer. )
Q3) What was your first tripod??
