Decisions....

Hi, so let me introduce myself, I am Karen living on the Gold Coast, Australia.  i have been an avid viewer on this site for a few years.

I have had a 450D then recently upgraded to a Canon 650D which has the standard kit lens 18-55 and 55-250, which are OK.  I also own a 50mm f/1.8 (which I love).  I have had my sights set on a 24-105mm IS L for sometime and here in Aus cheapest is $1057.  I have heard good reviews.  I like taking scenery photos and wildlife, I know there will be limitations as top end will be 105mm plus crop factor of 1.6.

My dilemma is - I also want a 'bridge' camera like the Canon SX50 HS, as an alternative to taking my DSLR.  My husband says I can either have a 24-105mm lens or I can get a SX50 along with a cheaper lens (for around $600, as the SX50 is about $400) so I have a budget of $1000.

Do I go and get the 24-105 lens or do I get a cheaper lens (if so what would you suggest) plus the bridge camera????

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
