Purple fringing/CA -- S100/110 vs G15

I have a Canon S-95 and G9.  I love the S-95, especially in low light, except for severe purple fringing (chromatic aberration or CA) in high contrast scenes.  I do not seem to have this problem in my slower G9.  I presume that the CA is a result of the faster lens on the S-95 which is more prone to CA.  So I wonder if the G-15 with its very fast lens has the same CA problem as the S-95, or is it effectively corrected with  in the camera processing.
