Re: Light lens for birding?

Not too long ago I had the same choices.

I decided after much searching to go with a bridge camera with a long zoom.

At the time, I picked the Canon SX40 which many birders are using. Now it has been replaced with the newer, faster focusing SX50. It is light and has an amazing zoom of 1200. Images taken with both cameras are pretty awesome for a smaller sensor camera. Prints up to 11x14 look darn good.

Do a search for birding with the Canon SX40 or SX50 cameras and look at the results.

You will be impressed.
