Pentax X-5 video zoom help wanted
I would really appreciate some help. I recently bought a Pentax X5 camera after a frustrating experience with Panasonic TZ30. The problem is that zoom range during video shooting is only 7.2X and my feeling is that it is digital zoom, rather than optical zoom as image quality really deteriorates when you zoom. The zoom range starts at your initial zoom level and would go to 7.2X no matter what. I've looked at all the settings to see if I'm doing anything stupid but can't figure it out.
Is this a problem the way camera is supposed to work or is this a settings issue or is this a problem with my particular camera? Any help would be appreciated.
