I'm thinking my best option is a 150-500mm Sigma for my Sony a77. That will result in somewhat more zoom than my Pany 100-300 (750mm vs 600mm). From the responses I've gotten, the lighter weight TCs etc are more of a compromise than I'm willing to accept.
