OK - so the 16/2.8 is still kinda fun! Foolin' around with my girl.
After more protestations from you guys, I've been taking the 16/2.8 out a bit more often than previously. And whaddya know - it's pretty fun. I do enjoy taking close shots, as you can get intimate and yet keep so much of the scene in view. If you're careful, you can keep some of the extreme distortions in check by framing with care.
I was fooling around with my daughter in the shopping centre and experimented with some novelty setups. Kids aren't patient, so AF helped, whereas my ultra-wide Tokina needs to be manually focussed, and doesn't have a wide aperture.
I'll leave it to you to work out how this was done. Easy enough!
