Yes, based on the photos of the rear of the X-M1, there appears to be a dial above the Play and Video Record buttons. It's strange because that dial budges out like it was some dial that was grafted into the body.

It looks like a thumbrest with built-in dial. I think that's a great solution, but will need to try in person.
