I know, resurrecting an old thread.

Curious if any of you out there have tried pigments on this printer yet?

My sites:

I have read a long but comprehensive test reports on niffty comparing with all the dye inks from OCP, InkRepublic, Image Spec, Epson....etc. The result from OCP and InkRepublic have the best performance in terms of color match as well as the longevity. Hence if cost of printing is your concern, pigment inks are always more expansive than dye and perhaps you can look into both OCP and InkRepublic's dye inks for these Artisan printers.

If it is not an option, take a look at the great OCP and inkrepublic IRK4-nano pigment inks too.
