It's dry now (after taking a heavy rain), but there's white residue left on the inside glass all over. It's retracted. Body is dead - not reacting to anything, so I can't turn it on and extract the lens.

It seems easy to disassemble at least from the outside. However, I don't know what to expect after I unscrew bolts: any special design there or special considerations to expect? I know it's Power Zoom and has OSS.

Thank you.

P.S. It's an attempt to save at least lens.

Please stop this silliness. No one but Sony has a shot of doing anything but trashing what value is left.

Send it to Sony and get their estimate. If they can repair the body but you don't want to pay what they ask, contact me with a private message. I might be interested in a second body.
