Detecting Corrupt JPEG Files
I once had an online storage provider where I stored all of my digital photos (~10,000) and I wanted to discontinue service with them. To do this I had to download all of my photos first.
My dilemma was if I could trust the downloaded files. After looking around on the internet for a bit for a tool to do this I could not find one that would consistently detect corruption so I set about writing one.
