People will go back to drawing and painting ;)

There are many people out there who are shooting large format film, exploring alternative chemical processes, combining photography with other art forms, and other uses of photographic apparatus and technique that are not "state of the art". The true value of the photograph is esthetic or documentary (or both), and changes to esthetic possibilities do not eliminate current esthetic choices and technology. The popular styles may change, but there will be individuals who use older technology by choice. My local art store is having a Brush Bash, some significant % off on high quality animal-fur hand-made brushes for watercolor, oils, acrylics. Squirrel fur is really low-tech, but people are buying and using the brushes.
