Re: 50mm or 85mm for portraits?

the 85mm FL will be long indoors. I got the 50 1.4 recently thrown in with my 5d3. It is slow focussing compared to the 85. I think the best indoor portrait lens for Canon APS-C is the EF-S 17-55 f2.8. However if you don't want to consider EF-S due to incompatability with FF then I believe a 24-70 2.8 would be a good choice if you have the dough. I use a Canon 35 1.4 on my 60D for indoor portraits and I conciously bought it while looking for a 50mm for FF. Still waiting for a great AF 50mm for Canon. The 1.2 L is tempting but I've heard it has AF issues.
