Re: RX1 vs. Canon 5D iii

These are all great points that everybody is bringing up. A couple of other considerations that I forgot to mention are I need a camera that my wife can use. She knows nothing about cameras so I need the Auto setting to work and both cameras will work fine in the Auto setting. Again though the size comes into question as my wife will not be so inclined to break out the 5D iii and mess with it because she'll be scared to drop it and break it because it's so heavy.

The other nice thing about the RX1 is that it has face recognition and you can actually store faces into the camera and it can prioritize those faces when trying to focus. It's a nice feature when you add that to Auto setting for my wife.

I do realize that a pro photographer doesn't need face recognition and even though it may not be needed or should not be needed to take a good photo, it sure is nice to have.
