Re: Lens Advice: 2 Mid-Level Primes or 1 L-Series Wide Angle Zoom

Ok. I think I will go with the following 3 lenses for now, and purchased in this order.

1) 15-85 IS (I like the reviews of the 17-55/2.8, but not enough to warrant the almost $500 upgrade and the lack of range).

2) 10-22 ( I do want to shoot wide, and with the crop factor, it will offer an improvement over 15-85 IS.

3) 70-200/4L with IS. I will need to wait to purchase this after spending about the same on the first two lenses, but I believe it will be the right lens for me.

I plan on purchasing lens 1 in June, Lens 2 in July, and Lens 3 when I find a pile of cash. I will sell or trade in my kit lens of 18-135mm IS, but keep the filters incase I want them for the 70-200/4L with IS as I believe they are both 67mm.

Thoughts?
