Some good ideas for NX20 (like and dislikes)

Why I like my NX20:

1. The unique Self-timer can be adjusted from 2 to 30 seconds long which gives me more time before it tripped the shutter.

2. The Mode dial selector switch is continuously rotate in any direction.

3. I like Samsung eliminated the Macro Mode (flower symbol) in the Navigational wheel selector because even the most professional photographers are often forgetting to reset this mode for normal shooting again. With NX20 in my hands now I instinctively use the correct method of shooting macro - I chose Manual Mode with lens focusing ring for all Macro shots. YES, you can still find the "flower symbol" in the SMART dial Mode scene as Samsung gives many choices in shooting.

4. The AMOLED screen is easier viewing in bright sunlight and I can still have the options to adjust screen brightness through the Menu and no need to buy an external mounted LCD sun shade.

What I don't like and needs improvement on future new model:

1. Video Mode shutter should be placed much higher up to avoid accidental touch by our thumbs because the NX20 was possible in designed to be very small camera. My own hands are medium size and I always accidentally touched many times - what more other people with BIG hands?

2. The left eyelet for neck strap (as seen from behind the camera) should be redesign about 1/8" higher and bended 90 deg. upward -- this will gives much free leeway for the LCD screen flipping both ways without hitting the strap. Or Samsung should provide one of these: EzFoto Stainless Steel D-Link Screw, EzFoto Stainless Steel Screw, and EzFoto Black Color Rapid Mounting Plate for quick release mounting to camera tripod mount.

3. Both for high and low angle shooting I used a much shorter camera wrist strap with 1/4" knob-screw for mounting to camera tripod mount. A much cheaper Cowboy Studio Hand Strap is also available. If Samsung marketing people are smart they should throw-in one of this to boost their sales.

4. The provided strap were too short. Samsung should provide a much longer neck strap for all people sizes uses. We all knows how to cut to our correct length and melt-down both ends with lighter flame.

5. Samsung forgot to paint their Logo at the back of LCD screen. It should be painted WHITE for clearly visible brand and baked hardened it.

6. The Mode dial marking should also be WHITE for optimum contrast to black knob. Silver markings on black gives poor visibility on dimmed lights.

7. Samsung announced it will include a copy of Adobe Lightroom 4 photo-editing software for free with its NX300 APS-C mirrorless camera shipments - Why they not do the same with NX20 and all the rest model that are capable of shooting RAW? Do any of you having this Error 1608? During installing Samsung RAW Converter-4 software -- it says; unable to create install driver instance, return Code: -2147024894. PLEASE post how you find the fixed.

8. To solved the difficulty in taking out memory card - Samsung can redesign by reversing the battery cover hinge and lock. If the memory card is slide-in away from the battery cover then we have more clearance in gripping out the card. Samsung followed this solution to fixed in their new model NX300 cameras. Now to fix mine - I have to burn two gripping notches on each sides of my memory cards.
