But the 56 and the 60 are entirely different lenses in terms of what they will do.  The 60/2.4 is a super-sharp medium speed macro, which although it can be used for portraits is not particularly well suited for this IMO.  The 56/1.2 is two stops faster to give the narrow DOF and low-light capability (and probably slightly lower sharpness) that many desire in a portrait lens.

Horses for courses - I have the 60/2.4 and will undoubtedly get the 56/1.2 eventually as well.  They complement one another.
