I' know there is 'metalic' photo paper. I'm working with Illustrator and vector objects related to something called the "Book of Kells'. This ancient manuscript, actually a bible, has illuminated portions in it. This was done by hand using special inks, gold leaf etc. I want to create an 'illuninated' effect for the objects I am working with and am trying to locate a 'system' that will let me do this. My project has both text and objects and I was wondering if anyone knew of system would replicate the 'illuminated' effect. The final product would be printed from a digital file on parchment type paper or any media that would approximate parchment paper. Cost is also a factor. I know digital photo people are often at the cutting edge so any suggestions other than sending me to a monastery with a case of candles would be greatly appreciated.
