True, but my well used copy 55 has surprised me on several fronts:

  • The rich construction/durability of the body.  Mine in a K version, manufactured in 1975, and is still silky smooth to focus, with sharp clicks when I change aperture settings.
  • The affordability of the lens.  I picked it up at a high end camera store for only $99.
  • How well it works on a u4/3 body.
