I have a related question. The Live View is a pain to use for me because it seems to require me to change the ISO/aperture settings just to see the image, and then change them back to shoot. That can't be right, can it?

Studio setting... shooting at an ISO of 100, aperture of f8 or f11, renders the image on LV black. I can only see (a crappy image) if I set it to an ISO of 3200 or more and an aperture of 2.8 or wider. That seems absurd. Do I have some setting misconfigured? I know my other cameras (Nikon) are not like this.

Thanks in advance.

In Live view the lens is stopped down to the required aperture. However, if you autofocus or press the shutter button half way down it will open up the aperture until it hits focus.
