D2H, Why so Much for a 4MP Camera?

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Build quality is very important.  I am looking at this objectively (I hope).  I cannot explain it, but I took some of my worse photos with the low MP D70. On the other hand, I am taking some my best photos with the higher MP D200.

I am trying to get some insight into what features the D2H can offer. Also being budget minded, I would prefer to buy a used high-quality product over a used low quality product.  At the time I bought my D200 I bypassed the D2H. I am trying to square the circle with respect to the D2H.  I am aware there are higher MP D2 models out there, but I cannot afford those cameras.
