Help identify old Tripod
Can anyone help me identify this old Tripod? I have had it at least 30 years, got it way back in or right after high school. This tripod has been beaten and gone a lot of places, mud snow, salt water etc and always performs.
I do have a bought new 4 year old Tripod from a big name who I will not mention, that has not seen any abused and used mainly indoors on wood or carpet floors and the leg locks keep cracking and need to be replaced. (I am waiting to hear if they will send me complimentary parts before I mention the name)
It was my wife who commented that the expensive newer tripod isn't built as well as the old cheep one I've had forever (she's right), so I would like to figure out who made the tripod in the pictures and possibly figure out how to put a newer ball head on it.
Notice it has square ribbed legs, metal leg locks.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated...
