Re: Is everyone here a professional now

We are all different. Some person doesn't need camera at all or will be happy with seldom pic taken with phone camera.

There are mom's and dad's who use PS, but still dedicated cameras to take "important" photos.

There are plenty of people who set high standard for themself and use DSLRs or even Meddium backs.

Big questions are personal - Why are you taking photos? For whom? How are you or your family is benefitting from it?

I take photos for friends, family and myself.

When I look through viewfinder "tunnel effect" blocks distracting elements from my eye and mind; I'm concentrating at subject as a side-viewer. With camera at eye level I'm a bypasser to reality, God looking down and insects, flowers or people. I'm free of worries, job-relations with them, or family obligations.

It is huge fun, it is also way of meditation in joga pose at ground level.

Dpreview forums changes as society, we are at walmart-photography-times ---> bulk production / low IQ standards for masses.

Person is taking photos, not camera. When photograph is bad, it's because photographer doesn't know how to choose settings optimal to "own preferences". Then blames camera for bad IQ.
This is same as blaming car about arriving to wrong destination.
