V1 overexposes in bright sunlight outdoors?

Hi everybody,

I have searched this forum before posting this question. It seems I am not the only one who has noticed this before, but there wasn't any thread that specifically addressed this point, so here it is.

I have just started shooting with a V1, but what I have noticed is that it consistently overexposes, by anything from +1/3ev up to +1ev, when I am shooting outdoors in bright sunlight, at base ISO (ISO 100), using matrix metering. This is independently of the lens used, and the same happens whether I use a filter or not.

This is slightly annoying because the V1 does not have a live histogram, unlike my much older Panasonic LX3 or my not-so-much-older Ricoh GXR. On these two cameras I usually ETTR (Expose To The Right), on the V1 I can't really do that.

Anybody noticed this and has a solution or suggestion (apart from guessing a negative offset and dialing it in using exp. comp.)? Thanks.
