I recently bought a 5Dm3 for outdoor portraiture. If I was doing studio portraiture my 7D would do just fine. No need for FF.

You are truly in a good position being that you are not invested in glass.

I agree with everything here....bang on.  Skintones are identical once each camera is profiled in raw.
