LX7 i-Zoom

I-Zoom appears to be a sophisticated variation on digital zoom which works well because it limits the zoom range so that digital zoom artifacts will not be apparent.  I've seen some confusion about what it means -- it's very effective at avoiding the degradations that we associate with digital zoom in general.

My experience with my LX7 is that it is works extremely well and I'm now using it routinely to extend the zoom range of my LX7.

Here are a couple of samples.  If you click on original size, you'll see bigger versions.

This one was taken with an effective focal length of 200mm.

This was taken with an effective focal length of 160mm.

I hope this is of some value to those who have been unsure about i-Zoom.
