350D does not turn on (broken sensor battery lid)

This 350D worked perfectly before someone tried to remove the CR2016 by putting a ballpoint in the small hole where the battery lid sensor is living.

I would like to repair this switch or bypass it to make it think the lid is always closed. The CF-card lid has a similar switch, so I tried to measure the pins with a multimeter. With the CF-card lid the open the pins circled with red make contact and this contact is broken when the lid is closed.

So I thought this switch could be the same, but even with the sensor being broken (only the base plate remains, the top and the lever are gone) it looks like the pins are not making direct contact.

There are four contact points between the circuit board and the sensor housing. In the middle of the housing are six small dots on the base of the housing. The lower two on the left are connected to the lower left pin, the upper one to the upper left contact. This is the same for the right side. But how should it work? I don't have a clue!

Does anyone know what the inner workings of this little switch/sensor should be?
